Beginner - Stage 1 Swim England

Swim England Stage 1 is part of the Swim England Learn to Swim Program, which is designed to teach children essential swimming skills. Stage 1 focuses on building a foundation for swimming, ensuring that children are comfortable and safe in the water.

The key areas covered in Stage 1 include:

  1. Water Confidence: Encouraging children to become comfortable in the water through fun activities.

  2. Floating: Learning to float on their front and back.

  3. Basic Arm and Leg Movements: Introducing the basic movements used in swimming, such as flutter kick and arm strokes.

  4. Breathing Techniques: Teaching controlled breathing when in the water.

  5. Water Safety: Understanding basic water safety rules.
